Today, the Washington County Sheriff's Office honored those who have fallen in the line of duty at the 18th annual Law Enforcement Memorial Day commemoration at the Washington County Historic Courthouse.
A benefit is scheduled at Woody’s Roadhouse this month to honor a member of the Woodbury High School community.
Glen Moon is the father of varsity football and baseball player Sawyer Moon. In September 2011, Glen was diagnosed with stage three esophageal cancer. Since then, he has undergone chemotherapy, radiation and surgery.
The East Ridge High School Band Department is hosting a garage sale next weekend.
Proceeds will directly benefit the band members and department. Donated items will be accepted on Wednesday, May 9, and the garage sale takes place May 10 and 11.
The Park High School Friends of the Orphans organization is hosting a fundraiser and 5K this weekend.
The 5K walk/run takes place at 9 a.m. Sunday, May 6, at St. Paul’s Highland Park. It costs $25 to join, and registration begins at 7:15 a.m. on the morning of the race.
Students can sign up outside of the Park High School cafeteria.
A Woodbury church will be honoring all of Minnesota’s fallen service members at an upcoming dinner and prayer service.
The Second Annual Pre-Memorial Day Veterans’ Dinner and Prayer Service will be held at Woodbury Lutheran Church. The church is a member of the Beyond the Yellow Ribbon initiative.
