Movie Night: Alvin & The Chipmunks

Tonight, Alvin & The Chipmunks will play on the big screen at the Central Park Amphitheater.

The cost is $3 per person with unlimited popcorn and beverage. Doors open at 6 p.m. and the movie starts at 6:30 p.m. Adults must accompany children.

The family event is sponsored by Woodbury Parks and Recreation and the Southeast Area YMCA.

The show coming to the Central Park Amphitheater will be a blast for the entire family.  The Will Hale Family Show's website says kids become the rock starts of the show as they clap, dance and sing with the king of rocking air guitar.  Will takes the stage on Wednesday, November 16t

Woodbury Mom Who Lost Son Teams with NASCAR in Video about Carbon Monoxide Danger

A Woodbury mom teamed up with NASCAR to produce a video on the dangers of carbon monoxide poisoning. Kelly and Jeff Lavers lost their 19-year-old son Tyler in December of 2010 to carbon monoxide poisoning in the family's garage.  The Lavers family wanted to make sure that Tyler's death was not in vain.

Get your little ones out of the house and entertained.  Children 18 months to 3 years old are invited to the R.H. Stafford Library in Central Park in Woodbury to read stories, sing songs and have a little fun.  Siblings are also welcome to join the free 20 minute long event.

Don't forget to stop by Woodbury Fire Station this Halloween to pick up your treat.  Firefighters will be handing out candy to all the ghosts and goblins from 5 to 7 on Halloween night.  The fire stations on Afton Road, Thames Road and Wood bury Drive will all be participating.  Call (651) 714-3600 with any questions.

The popular Children's Book author, Laura Numeroff, is out with a new book; If You Give A Dog A Donut!  Excited parents and kids can read along with the new book at a special storytime event at the Barnes and Noble at Tamarack Village in Woodbury.  The storytime will take place on Saturday, October 15th at 11 AM.  For more information call 651-739-7274.

Every kid under 8 years old and shorter than 4 feet, 9 inches is required by Minnesota law to be fastened into a child safety seat.  If you've ever tried to get those car seat properly installed you know what a headache it is, so let the experts help you.  On Tuesday, September 27th from 4 to 7 PM, the City of Woodbury along with Regions Hospital will be hosting a Car Seat Clinic.&nbs
